GOLDENDOODLE - DOG SIZE & COAT QUESTIONS

Smallest of Litter
Nike at 5/6 months - about 20 lbs - shaggy coat

Teddy at 6 months - about 45 lbs - retriever face, curly back

We cannot guarantee the size, coat style, or color that your Goldendoodle puppy will obtain as an adult. We also cannot guarantee that they will not shed or affect allergies/asthma. Breeders should not promise you this!
One of the most popular questions that we get is “what size will the puppies grow up to be?”
Well, Mother Nature has a way of doing whatever she wants -and sometimes she wants to color outside of the lines.
The rule of thumb is to add both then divide = so, that should be 32.5 lbs., right? But we have some pups that are over that and maybe even over their mom's weight! We cannot guarantee dog size – just like we can’t guarantee exact coat curly/flat or color. They will grow and they will change. Take a look at the pictures of our moms and you will see how different they look when they were puppies to adults now.
We can take a good guess by bone structure – but, please keep in mind that Mother Nature does as she pleases!

Yes, they will shed less than a retriever - and some Goldendoodles will hardly shed at all. People consider them to be 'hypoallergenic', but this is not necessarily true - if this is a requirement for you, we suggest that before you pick a puppy, you spend time with some Goldendoodles to help determine if they'll affect your allergies. Some people are allergic not to the hair/fur, but the saliva of a dog. Spend time with several poodles and doodles before committing.
